Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delay in our reports,
Well summer has finally arrived here on the bay and the fishing hasn't been that bad, fisherman have been having better success on the smallies out here, using live bait, spinnerbaits and still using plastics, the fish are in their normal summer spots now, work the breakwall, theweed flats east of the wall and out on the rockpile ,watch out by the end of long island as there are some commercial nets out there until aug 15th.
walleyes are still being caught in the hot pond area using leeches and crawlers and also around the breakwall and adjacent channel edgestrolling stickbaits at dawn and dusk.
The trollers have been doing very well out on the flats and out by outer and stockton islands for lake trout with some bonus browns and salmon still hitting also,flasher/fly combos and magnum spoons are the trick with 90ft about the minimum depth you want to be in right now.
Our mayfly hatch has peaked this past week and is winding down now,so get ready as the fishing should start to pick up steadily now for all species.
Don't forget to stop at RIVERROCK INN&BAIT for the best live bait in the area and a great selection of tackle also.
Don't forget about our fabulous rooms to enjoy your stay on the bay.
Good luck to everyone,
JAIME.
